I have established a LAN-to-LAN VPN, and can ping PCs at the remote end; but I cannot find PCs in Network Neighbourhood

You mentioned that you can ping PCs on the remote LAN, so the VPN connection is physically present and working.

Please try the following:
  1. It may be a Windows access issue.  Check that you have enabled Windows File and Printer sharing on the PC that you are trying to access, and that it is not running a personal firewall that is blocking NetBIOS packets.  If you are not sure, try turning the personal firewall off while you do some testing.

  2. Please check whether the DefenseWorm function is active in your router.  See
    Q. How could I access the remote PC in My network Neighborhood through VPN tunnel?. DefenseWorm should be turned OFF by default.

  3. It may be a NetBIOS issue.  Please see Q. I can neither map shared disks nor see other computers in my network neighborhood, although I can successfully ping them, what should I do?
