The instructions below use the Vigor2820 router.

After successfully entering your username and password you will see this on your browser.

N
ow go to Online Status. You will know that the ADSL and the router is trying to sync by looking at the ADSL status. Now the status of the ADSL is Ready.

Once the ADSL and router syncs, the ADSL status will display SHOWTIME

Now go to WAN>>General Setup. Check if you have the correct configuration.

Go to WAN>>Internet Access then select WAN1

Select Enable for PPPoE / PPPoA,

Multi-PVC = Channel 1.

VPI = 8. VCI = 35.

Modulation = Multimode (If you are using ADSL use G.DMT).
On ISP Access Setup put your username and password that the ISP gave you then click OK.

It will now ask you if you want to reboot your router. Select Using current configuration then click OK.

The router will now restart.  Wait for 10 seconds then  select the first IP address to access your router.

Once logged into the router go to Online Status menu page and check t WAN 1 Status. If the text is green and gives you an external IP address(e.g. 203.26.18.92) you are now connected to the internet.
