How to Schedule IP filter to Block all services on certain IP’s
Posted by Roy Panetta on 13 December 2011 03:24 PM

Draytek routers with IP Filtering facilities can have a schedule attached to some of the facilities, for example so that a rule blocking access to any services is active on Monday to Thursday from10PM to 6PM and only allowed access from 6PM to 10PM (Monday to Thursday), the second schedule is blocking access to any services is active on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 3:00PM and only allowed to access from 3:00PM to 11:00PM (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

1.)    Make sure the Time is set correctly on the router.

2.) Set the time period you want the filter to apply to in a time rule:

Note:

1.) That the "action" field (Force On) has no relevance to this type of application.

2.) That the "Duration time" is not "End Time"

Ex. Schedule 1.  Deny Access from Monday to Thursday 10:00PM to 6:00PM

Select the Address type. On this example we select the “Range Address” because we will apply the filter on the range of IP’s 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.7.
