Configuring Wireless on the 2600G router

Step 1:

 

  • Enable Wireless
  • Enter a name for your wireless network
  • Select a channel to use from the pull down menu

Step2: Set up Wireless Security

 

  • Select a security mode – We have used WPA/PSK

Step 3:

 

  • Enter a password for the wireless security (Pre-Shared Key)

 

The pre-Shared key must be at least 8 characters and you will need to enter this on your computer when prompted to connect to the wireless network

Type 8~63 ASCII character or 64 Hexadecimal digits leading by "0x", for example "cfgs01a2..." or "0x655abcd....".

WEP:

For 64 bit WEP key
Type 5 ASCII character or 10 Hexadecimal digits leading by "0x", for example "AB312" or "0x4142333132".

For 128 bit WEP key
Type 13 ASCII character or 26 Hexadecimal digits leading by "0x", for example "0123456789abc" or "0x30313233343536373839414243".
