How to setup remote dial-in VPN connection on Vigor2760

v1.1.1

i-LAN tablet

android 4.2

iPhone 4S

iOS 6.2

 

 

 

1.1 – Creating users

Go to User Management > User Profile.  In the User Object tab, all users are listed. Click Add to create a new user, or click the check-box of the specific user then click Edit to modify the user detail.

 

 

 

 

1.2 – Creating new user

- input the Name as the username
- select Local as the type
- select None for the Privilege
- click Apply to save

 

 

 

 

1.3 – Enabling remote dial-in VPN

Go to VPN and Remote Access > Remote Dial-in User.
- click the Enable check-box to enable remote dial-in
- input the name for the service
- select Local as the Authentication Type
- select the specific users who is allowed to connect to the router
- click PPTP as the Server Type
- click Apply and save.

 

 

 

 

2.1 – Configuring Android

Go to setting > VPN, and click Add VPN Profile.
- input the profile name
- select PPTP as the protocol
- input the IP address of the WAN interface of the DrayTek router
- click save

 

 

 

 

2.2 – Establishing the connection

- tap the VPN Profile name
- input the username/password
- tap Connect

 

 

 

 

 

3.1 – Configuring iOS

- select PPTP as the protocol
- input the description
- input the IP address of the WAN interface of the DrayTek router
- input username and password
- click save

 

 

 

 

 

3.2 – Establishing the connection

- tap the switch button to ON and iOS will try to connect automatically

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.1 – Checking the connection status

Go to VPN and Remote Access. For viewing PPTP connection status, click the tab of PPTP on the top and all current PPTP connections will be listed.
