How to Enable WAN Aggregation on DrayTek Routers

WAN Aggregation is a feature introduced into DrayTek routers to aggregate multiple WAN connections to provide higher speed to the Internet by utilizing the “Session Based” load balance mode. This feature is available in the DrayOS routers Vigor2860, Vigor2912, Vigor2920, Vigor2925, Vigor2952, Vigor3200 and Vigor3220 as well as in the Linux-based routers Vigor2960, and Vigor3900. This application note will go through the steps for each router operating system.

Routers Running DrayOS Operating System
This section applies to Vigor2860, Vigor2912, Vigor2920, Vigor2925, Vigor2952, Vigor3200 and Vigor3220 routers.
These routers will need to be running the latest firmware for this feature to be available.
Go to WAN >> General Setup configuration menu.
For Load Balance Mode select Session Based option.
Click OK to apply to save the settings
Routers Running Linux Operating System
This section applies to the Vigor2960, Vigor300B and Vigor3900 routers.
Routers will need to run firmware version 1.2.1 and above.
Go to Routing >> Default Route configuration menu.
For Load Balance Mode: select Session Based
Click Apply to save the configuration.
