Configuring Simtex VOIP SIP Trunk in VigorBX 2000
Posted by Roy Panetta on 21 December 2016 11:30 AM

Simtex Communications offers VOIP SIP trunks that can be used with the VigorBX 2000.

One issue you may encounter is that although the SIP trunk is registered with the VOIP provider and you can make outgoing calls you may find that you are unable to receive incoming calls.

This document shows you the additional settings required to enable the VigorBX 2000 to advertise the “Direct Inward Dialling number” (DID) number to the VOIP provider to allow incoming calls.

Step 1

Configure SIP Trunk

Go to IP PBX>>SIP Trunk List menu in the VigorBX 2000 and enter the required SIP trunk details.

In our example, we have the DID number 61242123456 and account number of 71234567.

Enter the Domain/Realm and proxy (sip.simtex.com.au)

For Display Name enter the DID number you have been assigned as shown below.
