How to setup LAN and WAN connections via wireless with 2 APs

 

Network Topology

Parameters

LAN A : A subnet of 192.168.1.X (Local LAN)

LAN B : A subnet of 192.168.100.X (Internet)

AP902 :

LAN A in AP-Bridge-WDS mode

LAN B in AP mode, and has wired connection to other modem/router which has internet

AP900 :

LAN A in AP-Bridge-WDS mode

LAN B in Universal Repeater mode

Vigor Router :

LAN subnet of 192.168.1.X, connect to LAN A of AP900

WAN with IP 192.168.100.X, connect to LAN B of AP900

Step 1 : Operation Mode

Step 2 : LAN setting

# Disable DHCP client of LAN A and LAN B, set up a static IP

Step 3 : Wireless Settings

# The channels of 2.4GHz and 5GHz of both APs need to be the same

Step 4 : AP Discovery

# The key of AP-Bridge-WDS mode of both APs need to be the same

# Need to set a static IP for Universal Repeater mode

Step 5 : Vigor Router

# Connect LAN to AP900 LAN A, WAN to AP900 LAN B.

# Ping to the internet

# Ping from PC1 to PC2, to see if the AP-Bridge-WDS mode is connected
