How to configure LAN to LAN Static Route using Draytek Routers

This application note shows how to configure a LAN to LAN static route using Draytek routers that link with a point to point wireless bridge.  The LANs (LAN1, LAN2, and LAN3) on site (SITE 1, SITE 2, and SITE 3) can access each other through the routers (R1, R2, and R3) and LAN2 in Site 2 will have internet connection via Site 1 using Route Policy.

How to use URL content filter to block the websites with exception list?

This application note shows how to set up a URL filter to include keyword exceptions. The example used is to block “Yahoo” web pages but allow web searches using Yahoo.

Management

Why can I see Vigor Router's Web Login Page from WAN by HTTPS when "Allow management from the Internet" is disabled?

 When you disable remote access to the router, you may notice that you will still see the router web login page when you try to access the router using HTTPS.  This is due to SSL VPN still running in the router which also uses port 443. This application note provides a couple of methods to overcome this issue.

  •          DNSSEC caused router reboot.
